In my acclaimed filmmakers topic, me and Ronan ended up discussing whether filmmakers have a moral responsibility. Eventually Ronan wanted to get more bloggers opinions on the subject, and i came up with the idea of a blogathon. After working out the details, we can proudly introduce our brand new morality bites blogothon
The basic aim of this blogothon is to get as many bloggers as possible to answer this 1 question. Do filmmakers have a moral responsibility?
The rules for this are pretty simple
1. Make a post on your blog in answer to the following question: Do filmmakers have a moral responsibility?
2. Ask your blogger friends to do the same.
3. Send me and Ronan a link to your post, and we will both link to them in our respective blogs
The date to post your answer is June 29th(The more in depth your answer the better). Send any questions to either me at u.heart.julian@gmail.com or ronanwright@gmail.com. There is also a facebook page for it

Exactly which ‘bits’ of morality is it?
The edible bits, obviously
And thanks for telling me about the typo
Welcome welcome
I just realized i forgot to put the date of the blogothon. There’s another thing i have to fix
And it has now been fixed
as a psychologist and a teacher, I say it would be immoral, immature and irresponsible saying that they don’t or shouldn’t have it
So are you participating in the blogothon?
I’ve alluded to my stance on this before, but i will post my reasons more in depth when the blogothon starts.
I have to agree with you there Dezmond
Looking forward to reading your response.
My brain is already whirring …
I look forward to your response
Sounds really good. If you have a banner for this event, I’ll certainly put it up on my blog, DWC.
We are haven’t got a banner yet but will do soon. Working on it. If anyone wants to design one for us we wouldn’t object
u are supposed to be emailing me Ronan!! about the banner
So Custard, you are now like the unofficial graphic designer for the movie bloggers, eh? Good for you, mate!
HAHA I am in no way a designer Ruth. I am a mere amateur in your presence my friend!!
C
I think we should make it official
Did you give me your email address? Probably. Sorry Cus. If you give me your email I will send you the specs. It is pretty simple, just that lion pic I have for the facebook page with “Morality Bites” blogothon: June 29th written on it.
i saw this over at filmplicity and will be working up my piece for it! Thanks!
Your welcome. I look forward to reading your response

Hey Julian, since the date is quite far out, I might be able to participate. You probably already know my general point of view on the matter
Yep. And i hope you are able to participate
Look forward to reading your thoughts on it Ruth.
Great call out. I might do a little piece on it if I have some time over. I like the new design btw.
Its good to be buddies with people who can make banners
And if you do participate i will be sure to read it
Well you better hahah =)
Hi Joel, it would be great to have you on board. Look forward to getting your opinion on it.
Can’t promise anything but its a hot topic that I’d like to partake in.

I’ll definitely be participating, it’s a fantastic idea for a blogothon!
Thanks. I look forward to your response
This is funny. I’m not sure this is the kind of thing I’d necessarily write about (without being prompted) but just yesterday, I watched (and then reviewed) “Salo”. The review devolved into a discussion on self-censorship vs. censorship and the motives of the filmmaker.
Great idea, peoples!
Hey Julian, Scott did a great banner for the blogothon. I’ve sent you an email with the details.
